At the European Gas Conference, the European gas lobby gathers every year to discuss how to make even more profits from gas drilling – at the expense of people and the climate. For over a decade, this fossil Champagne Party has taken place in Vienna. Because of our protests, the conference decided to move – this time to Bucharest. The location is no coincidence: In the Romanian Black sea, the host of the European Gas Conference (OMV) is planning to build the EU’s biggest gas extraction project, Neptun Deep.
